Our Services
Most cemeteries mow the grass. But they don’t have the manpower to trim, water, or plant flowers. HMGC offers both one-time visits for Memorial Day or Autumn planting & clean up, as well as on-going maintenance service. Have a specific request? Although I have a successful career as an IT Project Manager, I have always wanted to spend more time outdoors, and more time helping others!
On Memorial Day in 2016 my father said to me "you know what you should do? Tend grave sites for people!" That inspiration was all I needed, and Honored Memory Grave Care was born.
My family has many relatives buried in Massachusetts, and we make several trips each year to keep them neat and to place flowers on special occasions. We started noticing that not everyone's grave site was tended, and wondered about their story. We also noticed some sites that were beautifully tended, with plantings and sparkling stones...some with lush, green grass! We wondered who tended these sites, too.
The fact is, more families are transient these days - children move away from their hometown, and as their relatives age, no one is able to tend family grave sites.
I did some research and found that most cemeteries cannot do more than mow the grass. It's also hard to find a florist who will deliver flowers to a particular grave. There are a few grave care businesses scattered about North America, but not enough to cover this growing need.
My philosophy is one of care and respect: for your loved ones and for your wishes. I also respect the rules of each cemetery, and my goal is to balance your needs with what is appropriate for the cemetery.
I am excited to have the opportunity to serve you and your family. My goal is to bring you peace of mind that your loved one's final resting place reflects the love and care you have for them.
